Employers Liability
Employers’ liability insurance is a legal requirement if your business employs one or more people, and you could be fined £2,500 for each day you’re not covered, and this includes non paid staff and volunteers. Employers’ liability insurance covers:
- Full-time and part-time employees
- Self-employed contractors you hire
- Temporary staff, apprentices and volunteers
- People taking part in work experience or training schemes
Employer’s liability protects you against the cost of compensation claims arising from employee illness or injury, sustained as a result of their work for you.
