Breakdown Cover Explained
With Breakdown Cover an essential, it’s important you have one you can rely on and covers you for all eventualities. One call to our 24-hour helpline is all it takes. An agent will immediately be dispatched and wherever possible a roadside repair will be carried out. If that isn’t possible you’ll be recovered to the nearest suitable repairer, your onward destination or home address – whichever is closest.
There are three levels of cover for most vehicles up to 16 years old*:
- National Recovery
- Roadside assistance and nationwide recovery
- National Recovery + Home Start
- Roadside assistance, nationwide recovery and assistance at home address
- National Recovery + Home Start + European Assistance
- Roadside assistance, nationwide recovery and assistance at home address, plus European roadside assistance and recovery
Cover includes:
- Mechanical or electrical breakdown
- Misfuel
- Lack of fuel
- Flat battery
- Accidental damage to tyres
- Loss of or breakage of keys
- Keys locked in the vehicle
- Nationwide recovery/onward destination service
- Message service
- Recovery of caravan or trailer attached to the insured vehicle at the time of the breakdown (up to 23 feet in length)
- Emergency overnight accommodation
- Alternative travel
