West Craven Insurance to host Skipton Golf Day
EARBY-based West Craven Insurance Services has this week announced the itinerary for its annual charity golf day at Skipton Golf Club.
The event will take place on Friday 12th June 2015 at Skipton Golf Club. Registration and Brunch is at 11.00am and the golf will start at 12.00 noon.
The event will culminate in a 2 course meal and presentation, which will include excellent prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place, as well as the day’s longest drive, and nearest pin. Entry is set to cost £200 per team of four people and teams must be submitted along with payment to either Ian Clarkson or Craig Walton at West Craven Insurance.
West Craven Insurance Service’s Managing Director Ian Clarkson, said: “Once again, we are really looking forward to what always proves to be a great day. However, there are only a limited number of places available, so we’re asking people to book early to avoid disappointment.”
“West Craven Insurance Services is a proud sponsor of Skipton Golf Club who are our hosts for the day – we see the relationship as part of our support for our community, so money raised from the golf day will be contributed to Pendleside Hospice. Pendleside is a wonderful organisation and provides such a valuable service, so we’re very proud to support them. That’s why we’re asking people to dig deep and get involved with what should prove to be a really excellent day,” added Mr. Clarkson.
Mr. Clarkson added: “We will also be holding a raffle on the day and we are asking if businesses or individuals can help out by donating a prize to help this worthwhile charity. I’d like to thank all of the businesses that have contributed raffle and auction prizes so far – this includes Lancashire CCC, who have donated 2 tickets for a day’s play during the current season; Wardle Storeys who have contributed a signed Leeds Rhinos shirt; Champagne from Jackson Lee Underwriting; a bed from Silentnight; Accrington Stanley FC have donated 2 tickets for home match next season (2015/16); Carlos restaurant in Colne have donated a £25 voucher; and Auto Legal Protection Services (ALPS) have given 2 tickets to the British Touring Car Championships (they sponsor a driver), including a visit to the pits and meet the driver.”
Last year’s event saw ten competing teams raising £1040 for Pendleside Hospice. A number of local businesses have already entered teams, including Silentnight, Auto Legal Protection Services, Gissing and Lonsdale, Wardle Storeys, Petherbridge Bassra Solicitors, Pettys Estate Agents, Indigo Financial and West Craven Insurance Services Ltd.
West Craven Insurance Service’s Managing Director Ian Clarkson, said: “Everybody really enjoyed last year’s event – it was a great day. Hopefully we’ll go one better this time, with more teams and more money raised!”
