The latest news from West Craven Insurance

We’ve been here for a quarter of a century!

We are celebrating our 25th anniversary this year.

Ian Clarkson initially set the company up in Earby with a staff of just two and they dealt mainly with personal car and home insurance. Since then the company has grown and developed and they now employ sixteen and as well as the head office in Earby they also have a commercial division based at Broughton Hall, Skipton servicing companies from across the North West and nationally.

Ian said “We’ve grown steadily for 25 years and built a good reputation. We now offer a much broader range of services and have an extensive offering that includes commercial property, commercial liabilities, farm and agricultural insurance, specialist ambulance cover, landlord insurance, we can cover almost all insurance requirements”

The market has changed quite considerably since the company was established in 1993 when things like cyber insurance couldn’t even be comprehended. Ian went onto say “As a company we have to stay up to date with the changing market place and the new laws and regulations that go along with that and our ability to adapt to these changing circumstances has been essential in ensuring our longevity”

West Craven Insurance is also a family firm with Ian’s daughter, Lisa and son, Scott both working for the company. Lisa Parker, now Company Director runs the business with Ian and first started working there as a Saturday job in here early teens.

Lisa said “It’s all I’ve ever known so it was a natural progression for me. I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved. Our success is built on hard work and the relationships we’ve had and continue to have with our clients and partners. Those relationships have built us up and defined us. We are tremendously grateful to our clients – it is because of their steadfast loyalty and trust that we are still here.”
