EARBY-based West Craven Insurance Services has this week announced a new sponsorship deal that will see it back a local women’s rugby league team.
West Craven Warriors play in the RFL Women’s Rugby League and have matches as far afield as Selby, Wigan, Leeds and Bradford. Home games take place at Victory Park, Barnoldswick.
Kimberley Chapman is the captain of the team and also works at West Craven Insurance Services. Commenting on the sponsorship deal, she said: “I’m really grateful that the place where I work has decided to support the team I play for. This will no doubt help us raise the profile of women’s rugby league in the area and will also supply us with some great kit to be worn to training and on match days. ”
West Craven Insurance Service’s Managing Director Ian Clarkson, said: “We’re very proud to be supporting West Craven Warriors and we’ll be following their progress with great interest.”
“The profile of the sport is increasing and it’s great to see a women’s team in our area competing at a very respectable level.” added Mr Clarkson.
“As a business we’re very keen to engage with our community whether that’s through our charity work, supporting Pendleside Hospice; or whether it’s through supporting sporting initiatives such as our sponsorship of Skipton Golf Club, or this new link with West Craven Warriors.”
